Almost autumn, but not quite. Though I won’t get to see the gradient of orange and red leaves, limited edition and seasonal food items are already being sold. Part of the Artful Autumn Series of Starbucks Japan, the Creamy Pumpkin line features interesting drinks inspired by the flavor and color of autumn.

From pear, to sweet potato, the third line of drinks in this series features pumpkin. Have it either as a cold Frappuccino or a hot milk beverage. I decided to get the hot Creamy Pumpkin Milk.
When I compare it to the Pumpkin Spice Latte, this Creamy Pumpkin Milk wins me over in terms of pumpkin flavor. PSL leans more towards a cinnamon flavor. This is the best non-coffee Starbucks drink I tasted so far. It used Ebisu Kabocha syrup (a type of Japanese pumpkin) then topped with a bit of whipped cream and candied almond bits. For those who are used to strong coffee, you may find this drink too sweet. And again, it is non-coffee.

Each purchase comes with a limited edition wristband.
From where we come from, there is no autumn season, so no pumpkin / autumn inspired food. When I come back to Japan for autumn leaves viewing, I hope this drink makes a repeat appearance.
Read about our Day 1 tomorrow! Stay tuned.
