Immediately got the botanical vibes when I peeked over the available gelato variants. They got it covered from fruits and flowers, plus herbs and spices with flavors like White Chrysanthemum, Spiced Pear, Strawberry Basil, plain Basil, Lychee Raspberry, Peach and Rose sorbet. Well if you’re more into spices than sweets they’ve got Masala Spice flavored gelato as well.

What flavor did we get? Hazelnut for my cousin, and Midnight Gianduja for me. Okay, so picked something out from the ‘regular’ side of the flavor spectrum. Hazelnut is self explanatory – nutty saccharine rush in a creamy frozen dessert. As for Midnight Gianduja, you can say it’s an edgier version of hazelnut – deep dark chocolate balanced with the familiar Nutella-like sweetness. It sounds so unique and mysterious too. Totally enjoyed the bitter chocolate blending with the hazelnut in this one. It costs and additional 1 SGD compared to all the others which sells for 4.7 SGD a scoop.

Another thing we noticed is the paper cups they used. It was didn’t get soft and soggy even it took us a while to eat the gelato. Looked it up and found out those were made from sugarcane pulp! Delicious dessert + environment friendly take out packing = two thumbs up.
Oh, sharing its space is a local clothing line In Good Company. So there’s a gelato display on the outer portion, and clothes + accessories when you walk further in.
I’m getting a two scoop sundae of White Chrysanthemum with cacao nibs, and another for Masala Spice the next time I go to Jewel.
