For the actual lunch, we ate at Sunzi Cafe, a local restaurant at the mall.
Nachos Salad
Sweet, tangy, and addicting. Not the strong tomato salsa and tortilla corn chip. It was a lighter version with a more salad vinaigrette dressing rather than salsa/cheese. Home made nachos which were less corn chips but more corn flour in texture. You don’t get the kernels texture, but a smoother thinner crunch instead. Aesthetically, it looks like this dish fits the restaurant – it looks like a sun from the top (sun = sun(zi) ?)
Chicken Flying South
Found the name interesting so I ordered this dish with chicken breast meat, sweet corn kernels, and bell peppers. The tomato sauce was also light, with consistency closer to light soup than thick sarsa. The side salad vinaigrette was more sour in comparison to the one in the nachos salad.
Bangus with Hummus
Of course the Mediterranean food lover got the dish with hummus. Spices were just right, not too strong. The hummus was smooth and creamy with a mild earthy flavor. Good thing the bangus was boneless and tender, though the skin could be crispier. This was a light and healthy meal, even with a full cup of rice.
