Celebrating a birthday at La Piazza in Okada Manila. With Eatigo, we were able to reserve our table and get a discount thru the mobile app.

Interiors gave off a smart casual to formal vibe. Wines on display made you want to get a bottle for your table. Lighting was just right and the place looked nice in photos, emphasizing the curved ceilings. The contrast of the dark furnishings against the light colored floor and ceiling made the area look more spacious.

The Food:

Affettato Misti

Selection of cold cuts. This one’s good. You get a satisfying taste of the paper thin cured meat in every variant of cold cuts on the plate. Better than any cold cuts platter I have tried in hotel buffets before.

Quattro Formaggi Pizza

Four cheese pizza. Gotta order one of these in an Italian resto. The crust isn’t that thick, but not thin enough to be crunchy. It a bit chewy but not as much as sourdough.

Contadina

Mozzarella, shitake, tomato, potato, parma ham, red onion – Chose this because of the parma ham + shitake mushroom combo. The shitake pieces werequite small, possibly to not overpower the flavor of the ham.

Pasta: Fusilli

Sauce: Pesto

Pesto sauce was not overly oily and has a hint of a nutty taste. Would prefer some more cheese but I can just add on plate later. Serving size is enough for sharing.
