Food: Mad Marks – lunch

Working near commercial centers makes it easy to go out for lunch whenever you want to try something new or when you aren’t in a tight budget or even when you just crave for something. The Food: Had Cajun chicken set for lunch. Choose two sides to complete the meal. This time I decided to get greens, and bacon potato salad since I wanted to … Continue reading Food: Mad Marks – lunch

Food: Kko Kko – Korean Chicken and Cheese Dips

Going Korean for this episode of team dinners!   The Food: Spicy chicken and vegetables and CHEESE The menu recently changed so I can’t find what this is called anymore. Chi-z Pongdang We ordered … Continue reading Food: Kko Kko – Korean Chicken and Cheese Dips

Food: Kyoto Chaya – Aesthetic Restaurant Cafe

Before attending the grand opening event, we actually dined here a few months before that and availed the Zomato Gold privilege. Shirataki pasta Mentaiko Cream Sauce Intriguing shirataki noodles made of konjac was used as noodles/pasta. This was described to be good for those in a diet – low carb and low fat. Even if the noodles itself didn’t have flavor on its own, this … Continue reading Food: Kyoto Chaya – Aesthetic Restaurant Cafe

Leyte 2019: [10] Acacia Restaurant

Dining at another restaurant downtown for dinner. More relaxed ambiance compared to the energy of the diners at Ocho. I like the Kinilaw – raw fish meat (tangingue?) cooked in vinegar and spices. The Laing was also good, similar taste/texture with the laing in Manila. The porbida last night at Ocho was different and had more of a creamy saltiness to it. I prefer the … Continue reading Leyte 2019: [10] Acacia Restaurant

Leyte 2019: [06] Sunzi Cafe

For the actual lunch, we ate at Sunzi Cafe, a local restaurant at the mall. Nachos Salad Sweet, tangy, and addicting. Not the strong tomato salsa and tortilla corn chip. It was a lighter version with a more salad vinaigrette dressing rather than salsa/cheese. Home made nachos which were less corn chips but more corn flour in texture. You don’t get the kernels texture, but … Continue reading Leyte 2019: [06] Sunzi Cafe

Japan 2018: In-Flight Meal MNL to HND

Did you know that airplane food could be saltier than you think? At tens of thousands of feet up in the air, pressure in the cabin affects our sense of taste. That could partly explain the general comment of airplane food being bland. As years go by, airlines tried to improve their meals. And for this flight, I actually found the meal okay. PAL serves … Continue reading Japan 2018: In-Flight Meal MNL to HND
