All the way from Japan, MOS Burger opened its first branch in The Philippines at Robinsons Galleria last February – their first branch in Philippines
Mountain, Ocean, and Sun β this burger jointβs name is actually an acronym huh?
- Mountain – dignified and noble.
- Ocean – wide and vast.
- Sun – vibrant and life-giving.

Oh, it has been in Japan since 1972!
Dined here about a week after opening so lines werenβt that hectic. Good thing we arrived a few minutes before the lunch rush so we were still able to get seats without the need to wait for anyone to finish. I was still choosing between the Seafood Tempura Burger and the Wagyu Burger until the last minute β try something with a bit less cholesterol, or get the item recommended by a friend. Final choice was the Wagyu Burger.
Add to your meal by choosing a βSetβ that has a soft drink plus side dish. Want caffeine? Just add 10 pesos to switch your carbonated drink into coffee.
My friend ordered the MOS Cheeseburger with the Set D – Sweet Potato fries set, and upgraded to coffee.

Wagyu Burger
Beefier in taste compared to the MOS Cheeseburger. The juicy patty extends outside the buns, together with the fresh lettuce. Bacon, tomatoes, cheese, egg, and meat sauce complete the package. Bigger and better, but also more expensive. Itβs quite filling. Iβd prefer to have it with a fruit drink.
Sweet Potato Fries
I actually liked this. It has some sort of a thin breading that adds crunch. Pieces are cut with just the right thickness so you still get a soft sweet potato mash inside.
Pop-Up Store Buys
I actually got to try 2 of their bestsellers previously at their 2 day pop up store. Waited in line for quite a while (not part of the sponsored bloggers) before burgers were available.
MOS Cheeseburger

Subtly and slowly catching my attention was the meat sauce (not just ketchup). It has a hint of umami that reminds me of Japanese snacks. The patty was juicy. Though, if you are looking for a really beefy patty, this might not be for you. But the combination of the meat sauce, tomatoes, cheese, and sauce is actually likeable and is way better than the budget cheeseburgers.
Yakiniku Rice Burger

Real beef strips with sweet savory sauce ala yakiniku sandwiched in between rice patties! This reminds me of a rice burger attempt of a popular fast food chain. This one is a whole lot better. The rice patty is compact yet still soft. You might end up with just rice at the last few bites. There must be a correct style in eating this.
Take out Packaging:
Either in a pink sakura pattern or a blue waves pattern, the burger wrapper sealed on two sides keeps the sauce and juices from spilling over your hands and office shirt.
Might try Seafood Tempura Rice Burger next.

Excited to try this! I’m not sure if their branch in GH or Magnolia is open already… hopefully soon i can experience these juicy burgers! π
